Please note: Read the entry before this one it will make more since! I didn't want to make my last blog so big that it wouldn't post. So this picture is of the group of us that went to Puerto Viejo. We had a wonderful time and the beach was great. The waves were a little rough and the first morning we were there it rained but it cleared up quickly and we were able to enjoy a day and a half at the beach.

So we were on our way out of Puerto Viejo and on our way back to San Jose when we went over a very large speed bump. This was not just any speed bump this is the kind that takes your muffler and other things. Well, Bob went over the speed bump with caution but we still hit it pretty good. After we went over it Bob says that the clutch does not work. We thought he was joking but he was not. We are 6 hours away from home in a vehicle that does not have a clutch and in a town that is not very advanced with no car repair place and it is Sunday, so even if there was a repair place the likelyhood of it being open is not that great. So we pull over and get some lunch and Bob tries to find someone who could repair the clutch cable that was severed. We eat lunch and wait for someone who is suppose to meet us at our vehicle. Well, after 2 hours this "someone" never shows. So we make the decision to power shift the vehicle to the next town in hopes that we will find a repair place. The fun part about power shifting is that you can only shift if you don't brake. And the other thing is that for the last half of our drive is in the mountains. We of course pray before we start our journey home. We got behind a few vehicles where we had to slow down, this required pulling off the side of the road and restarting the vehicle and taking right off. Bob became very professional at power shifting. We had some exciting moments driving through the mountains, but God protected us and got us home safely and we actually made better time coming home than we did going there. It was a very fun trip with good stories to tell. Bob did a great job under pressure, I was so proud of him and especially considering he was with 7 girls. He deserves a medal!!!
